Everything managed centrally
With the crossbase software solution, all product information is maintained centrally in one place. This simplifies the production processes for the media to be created and ensures that the data source is always up-to-date.

The crossbase solution at the Zimmer Group
Based on the crossbase standard software, a PIM, MAM and cross-media solution tailored to the individual requirements was implemented for ZIMMER. The starting point is the data interface to the proALPHA system. The products are then enriched with features, product relationships (e.g. accessories, scope of delivery), images, documents and texts and mapped in the various market- and media-specific product views. These include the various product catalogs for the ZIMMER and Sommer-automatic brands in printed form and as an online catalog as well as Excel catalogs.
The language-specific graphics are a special feature. These are generated automatically using the Illustrator module. The texts in the graphics are maintained as text modules. Together with product features, 36 different text types are generated from the individual modules.
Print production is distributed across several production clients in order to increase the speed at which InDesign documents are produced.
The original XML interface has been replaced by the API server. The data for the web store is provided via the "TYPO3 web interface". The translations are created in the countries via the web interface, including PDF preview (via InDesign server).
